6th Grade News

6th grade news.jpg

6th graders are learning about Expressions and Equations in math.  These are Pre Algebra skills that they will use in 7th grade.  Some classes are reading novels and others are working out of the Treasures Anthology. As always they are reading independent novels using the Accelerated Reader program.  The classes received a treat last week when the ancient artifacts program came to school.  The classes learned about the Roman Civilization and became members of the Roman Legion. 6th graders are learning about technology whether at the computer lab or on Chrome books. Country reports, book presentations and history projects are beginning to use the new technology at Cooper Elementary School.  Classes are beginning the prep for the mini societies that are developed in the classrooms.
