My School Bucks is the way to pay online for your student's lunch. You can also pay the cafeteria manager in person. Please note: If you are going to pay using my School Bucks, you need to allow 24 hours for the system to apply it to the account. Your student's account will follow them to each progressive school they attend in Vacaville Unified. For example, Cooper to Vaca Pena to Will C Wood. Also, My School Bucks will notify when your account balance is below $10.00. It's a great system! Call the office at 453-6210 to get your student's permanent id. number, you will need it to sign up for our school lunch program's automatic payment system: Click for MySchoolBucks

Children 5-11 years naturally wake early. Teens 12-18 years naturally wake later, despite bed times.

Researchers have studied the effect of delaying start times for high school students and have found that even a modest shift in start times benefits adolescent students.

Teen experience a biological shift in their internal clocks that causes them to be alert at typical bedtimes and to have difficulty waking early in the morning. Because they are drowsy in the morning, teens have more trouble:

  • being alert in school
  • paying attention
  • solving problems
  • coping with stress
  • retaining information.

In hopes of creating the best learning environment possible for our students, VUSD is evaluating the start times for each school.

How would you be affected by a change in school start times?

Please take 10 minutes to consider the aspects of school start time changes and tell us what you think. Info and survey at

Cooper Elementary is currently enrolling new Kindergarten thru sixth grade students for the 2016 - 2017 school year who live within the Cooper School boundaries.  For more information regarding enrollment you may click on VUSD Enrollment Page, highlighted in blue, on the left hand side of this home screen.

If you are uncertain of which school boundaries you live within, please click on VUSD School Locator and put in your address.  VUSD School Locator can be found on the left hand side of this home screen, under Quick Links. If you find that you live within another school's boundaries within Vacaville Unified, then you need to go to your school of residence for enrollment.  If you want your child to attend a different school other than the one within which you reside, then you still need to go to your school of residence office to register and they can give you more information on how to request the school you desire.

The next school year begins on Thursday, August 18, 2016.

The office will be closed for registration as of June 9th and will re-open on Wednesday, August 10, 2016.
