4th Grade News May 2015

We have less than three weeks left of fourth grade. In math, we are reviewing concepts already taught to prepare them for fifth grade. We are also enjoying reading By The Great Horn Spoon, The Castle in the Attic, and James and the Giant Peach.

We are studying the California’s gold rush. We are starting a simulation of life and adventure in a frontier mining camp. This Thursday, we will have an on-site presentation about the gold rush. The students will pan for gold and will bring home their gold “nugget”!

There will be several end-of-the-year activities planned. A note will be sent home soon to inform you of these special days.

We have had a wonderful year, and appreciate all of your help to make it a special year in fourth grade. Enjoy your summer!
